How it Works

Reserve Your Side

Submit the reservation form or contact Pelletier Farms to secure the next available side. A non-refundable deposit of $1500 is required to hold your reservation.

2.
Cutting Instructions

We will contact you when it is time to make your cut and packaging selections.

3.
Processing

Your beef will be processed under continuous USDA inspection, cut to your selections, vacuum sealed, labeled, and frozen.

4.
Pick Up

We will notify you when your order is ready for pickup at our farm in Litchfield, New Hampshire, typically 2-3 weeks post processing.

FAQs

How Much Freezer Space Will I Need?

A half side of beef generally requires approximately 6 cubic feet of freezer space, although the exact amount will depend on the final size of the animal and your packaging selections.

A dedicated chest freezer or upright freezer is strongly recommended.

What Comes with a Side of Beef?

A side gives your household a versatile selection of premium steaks, roasts, ground beef, slow-cooking cuts, and other useful cuts from half of one animal.

The final weight and total price will vary based on the individual animal. Any required reservation payment will be applied toward your final balance.

Is your beef completely grass-fed?

Yes. Our beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished. Our cattle are not grain-finished.

Is the beef USDA processed?

Yes. Our beef is processed under continuous USDA inspection.

Is the meat frozen?

Yes. Your beef is dry-aged, professionally cut, vacuum sealed, labeled, flash frozen, and ready for your freezer.

Can I choose my cuts?

Yes. You will receive cutting instructions and will be able to select from the options available for your half side.

How much meat will I receive?

The amount varies because every animal is different. We will provide additional information about the anticipated size and final total as your processing date approaches.

When will my beef be ready?

Processing dates are scheduled in advance and availability is limited. Contact Pelletier Farms for the next available reservation period.

Thursdays: 3:00–6:00 PM

Saturdays: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

We will provide specific pickup instructions when your side is ready.

**There is a $25/day freezer rental fee for orders that are not picked up within three days of notification.**
